Ed-watch (hereinafter refer to as, “ed-watch”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a secure e-learning platform also providing online assessments and online consultation (the “Platform”) allows users to directly access quality training, education, assessments and online mental health consultations and programs. All our services are provided via online registration with our professional educationists/ coaches/ psychologists based on their area of expertise and the client’s request. Online Consultations under our Mental Strength Programs are only provided by licensed Psychologists bound by the “Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct” of the American Psychology Association (APA). We do not prescribe any medication under the program.

This privacy policy (the “Policy”) outlines how we collect, use, disclose, manage and safeguard your personal information (“PI”). All employees and contractors working for ed-watch are required to adhere to the protections described in this policy.

For the purposes of this Policy, “PI” means information about an identifiable individual and may also include name of individual, date of birth, employer information, medical history and presenting complaint under our various Programs. This information may be found in our records and communications between our clients and their designated Consultant/ Coach.

Ed-Watch will collect personal information from you when you register to the Platform through the registration link provided on our website www.ed-watch.org (the “Website”) 

By accessing or using the Services you are agreeing to the terms of the Policy. 

Information Collected and Stored

Ed-Watch will collect the following information from you when you register for our Services:

Registration and Other Information

When you register for a Service, in order to understand your requirement properly and contact you when needed, we will collect identification and contact information, such as name, age group, email address, phone number, education and preferred language.

When you use the Mental Strength Programs under the Platform, we may collect and store certain additional information, such as presenting complaint, medical history, appointment history, diagnosis and treatment information.

Payment Information

When you make or receive a payment through our Services, we will collect and use your credit card or banking information or other financial data in order to process the payment.

Information from Online Consultations

Data obtained from Consultations will be anonymized and de-identified before being analyzed and used by Ed-Watch for product development and research purposes.

Use and Disclosure of Your Information

Consultations under our Mental Strength Program

Our Psychologists have a primary obligation and take reasonable precautions to protect confidential information obtained through or stored in any medium. The personal information that we collect from you will be used to schedule, administer and personalize your Consultations, update your record and to recommend you other mental strength programs organized by us. Only the Consultant assigned to you for online consultations can access your personal information and will not share your information with their colleagues or any other persons. Where a consultant feels the need to refer you to another consultant, the new consultant will only be appointed to you and provided with your information only after we have received your express consent. 

Only after express consent from you, we may disclose your personal information to third-party healthcare professionals involved in providing you with healthcare services, such as a specialist physician, psychologist or nutritionist. 

Recording

We may record our MasterClass or other live sessions for future use or marketing, research and product development purposes.

Third-Party Service Providers

We will not share your information with any other third party.

Blogs, Journals and other publications

Our Consultants do not disclose in their writings, lectures, or other public media, confidential, personally identifiable information concerning their clients, students, research participants, organizational clients, or other recipients of their services that they obtained during the course of their work, unless (1) they take reasonable steps to disguise the person or organization, (2) the person or organization has consented in writing, or (3) there is legal authorization for doing so.

Legal Issues

We may use your personal information to detect, investigate, address and prevent fraudulent or illegal activities. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law, when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us and to defend against legal claims.

These situations may include, but are not limited to, disclosing potentially life saving information during medical emergencies and reporting infectious diseases or fitness to drive.

Accessing your information

You have the right to access your personal record on request at contact@ed-watch.org. However, you may be temporarily denied access to your personal record if providing access would create a significant risk to your health. You will also be denied access to your record where disclosure would be likely to reveal personal information about a third person or the existence of such information and the disclosure may seriously harm that third person, unless the third person consents or in the case of an emergency that threatens the life, health or safety of the person concerned.

Anonymized Information

When conducting product development, research, advertising and marketing, we will only use anonymized, de-identified and aggregated information. However, for marketing purposes we may use feedback provided by the clients subject on their consent taken in the feedback form.

Retaining Your Information

Should you wish us to close your Ed-Watch account, please send an email to contact@ed-watch.org. We will ensure it is done in a reasonable time after receiving the request. 

We will however retain any and all personal information that we are required to retain under any applicable laws and regulations for the full duration of time required under those laws and regulations. We may also retain any anonymized and de-identified information and continue to use this information in accordance with this Policy.

Our Commitments
  • Ed-Watch will never disclose your personal information without your consent.
  • Ed-Watch will never rent or sell the personal information that we collect.
Unforeseeable Circumstances 

Ed-Watch has taken reasonable measures to prevent a breach. However, there is no guarantee against data breaches. In the event of a data breach, Ed-Watch will:

  • Notify users at the first reasonable opportunity of the breach; and
  • Immediately apply remedial measures.
Changes To The Policy

If we decide to make material changes to the Policy, we will notify all users by placing a notice on our Website. You should periodically check the Website for updates.
